The Look Keo Power Pedals have significant advantages over the standard powermeter.
As they are individual units you can get data from your left and right foot independantly*, as well as a percentage differential if you so wish. The pedals use eight sensors built into the axle of each unit. These highly accurate Strain guages transmit axle deflection in order to give consistently efficient data whilst a small magnet provides cadence without the addition of further sensors.
Due to the fact that the sensor is housed in the pedals the powermeter is easily transferable between bikes, which eliminates the problem posed by wheel and crank based systems which are more difficult to move from bike to bike. Similarly the head units will twist on or off quickly and efficiently as well as giving you bags of statistics beyond the power output.
The Look Keo Power pedals are compatible with the Polar CS600, CS600X and the Polar CS500.
