On the 13th July 2021, 700 turned 10 years old.

“Parp!”

That was all the fanfare we could muster. The reasons for not making too much fuss were several, but most obviously poxy Covid. Covid has been frankly, shit. A lot of people have suffered greatly and making a song and dance of our 10 year anniversary seemed a touch self aggrandising given not everyone was having fun.

In addition, the cycle industry was chaotic – and remains so – and will continue to be so until at least 2023!

So for us, throwing a party or pressing a campaign to highlight our milestone was definitely a back-burner issue – we were all pretty ragged anyway!

BUT, things have started to settle (kind of) and so :

Ta-Da!

We are 10! (and a bit)

Over the last years you may have noticed some changes in our appearance – it’s what happens as you get old – and like dogs, a year in the bike trade is like 7 in real life! We’ll admit, we’ve gotten a little scruffy (again, thanks Covid).

To counter the ageing effects, 700 will be undergoing some minor surgeries’ – a face lift if you will.

Over the coming months you will notice a soft roll-out of our new look. It was a considered process but ultimately we’re happy with who we are and the way we operate’, so we’re refreshing rather than re-inventing.

It was originally going to be an overnight explosion – POW look at us, new 700! – but it’s simply impractical to try and do that in these times when we have your bikes to fit, build & repair and your questions to answer.

Ultimately it’s a branding refresh – new signage, updates to the website etc and just a fresher feel. You can continue to count on unbiased, no BS answers to your cycling related queries and our dedication to you and your machine. We’ll just look better when we do it!

We also have a little product surprise in the pipeline to celebrate too – more on that when we have it!

As the waters become a little less choppy, we’ll celebrate properly.

Until then, ride safe and thanks for your continued support.
