There are many, many bike cleaning products on the market. Some have pretty colours, some smell good. They are, by and large, much of a muchness.
Few do a really good job.
At 700 we have been serially unimpressed with the level of product, range (either too small or WAY too big) of product and sad to say, quite often the lack of support from brands, on the bike cleaning front.
There are some notable exceptions. Silca being one. Silca make some of, if not the best lubes on the market and we have been selling them for a while. We were pleased then, when they introduced their “Bicycle Spa Set” – a concise range of cleaners and protectors – late last year.
BUT, they are not cheap and they won’t tick all the boxes for all riders.
We have been thinning our in-store offering down for some time whilst we hunted out the right product that we could confidently get behind, and that does a proper job.
