ERE Research is a premium cycling components brand specialising in high-performance wheels, tyres, saddles, bar tape, and accessories for road and gravel biking. Founded in 2017 by Dutch cycling industry veteran Piet van der Velde, the company emphasizes innovation, aerodynamics, ergonomics, and optimized wheel-tire systems to deliver exceptional ride quality and value.

Piet van der Velde, a former elite-level racer, brings decades of experience from designing products for major brands like Specialized, Trek, Shimano, SRAM, Colnago, Selle Italia, Prologo, Rapha, and Cannondale. He established ERE (pronounced "air") to create high-end parts without compromises, drawing on a team of seasoned industry experts. The brand name derives from Latin words ending in "-ere" (e.g., tenere for grip, sedere for sit), symbolising connections to movement, emotions, and bike touchpoints.

Headquartered in the Netherlands with claimed Swiss/Dutch origins, ERE launched its first products in 2018, starting with tyres and saddles before expanding into wheels. A key philosophy is co-developing rims and tyres for perfect compatibility, resulting in hooked tubeless-ready designs that excel in aerodynamics, low weight, and real-world performance. Flagship lines include the ultralight Genus II carbon wheels (often with carbon spokes for pro-level stiffness and suffixed -R) and versatile Tenaci/Omnia series for gravel and all-road use.

ERE has gained traction in the pro peloton through partnerships, notably supplying time trial wheels to WorldTour team Intermarché-Wanty (used in races like the Tour de France and by riders like Biniam Girmay). Their products are UCI-approved, backed by lifetime warranties and crash replacement programs, and praised for their "big bang for the buck" across reviewers.
