The brand has gained notable recognition through its connection to the Gusto-Pogi UCI team that is backed by Tadej Pogačar. Notably, Pog launched his professional cycling career riding Gusto bikes in 2018.
One of the stand out features of Gusto lies in their innovative carbon fibre technology. A key selling point here is that in a model range, the frame - the heart of any ride - is the same throughout the line-up. It is only the specification which changes. This ultimately means that those on a budget can experience a top-tier chassis and have a clear and accessible upgrade path. By controlling their entire production process – from carbon fibre manufacturing through to final assembly in Slovenia – Gusto provides world-class performance without the premium pricing typically associated with such quality.
The 700 x Gusto journey began with the Cobra Evo, a versatile race leaning all rounder and then the hugely popular GTR - an aerodynamic all-rounder with revised geometries for speed, all day.
The GTG is Gusto’s new gravel bike, and is the same philosophy applied for off-road forays. Like the GTR and Cobra, it features one carbon frame across all three builds, laid up with Innegra alongside the carbon in the composite that Gusto call I.L.C. With room for 45 to 50mm tyres, a UDH hanger, fully closed fork dropouts and a triple-mount system for bottles or bikepacking kit, it is both race and multi-day ready. Geometry runs higher at the front and shorter in the reach than their road frames, for a position that holds up over a long day on a rough surface. Every build gets the same ATTAQUE G100 carbon wheels (40mm deep, 27mm internal, 1,360g) and the same G1 integrated cockpit, so the choice comes down to transmission: GRX mechanical 2x on the Elite Ultra, GRX 7 or 8 series Di2 1x on the Sport TE and Pro TE respectively. UCI approved, lifetime frameset warranty, and starting at a figure that makes most carbon gravel bikes look over-priced.
