Pinarello Grevil F3 : Shimano GRX820 2x12 : Etna Black

Season:2025

Brand:Pinarello

Code:C2176627227-3381

The new Grevil F3 features Torayca T700 carbon for an exceptional balance of comfort and stiffness to keep you smooth and fast. A raft of Geometric and design tweaks make adventures off road confident and engaging. Integrated storage solutions and carefully selected components - coupled with aggressive pricing - make the F3 a competitive gravel bike in all senses. Shimano GRX 820 2x12 groupset, Fulcrum Soniq wheels and Pinarello Most components help you take on anything from club gravel runs, bike packing and gravel racing.

Gravel has changed. Well - it has stabilised into two distinct categories for the most part.

Race or Adventure.

The original Gravel range from Pinarello tried to tick multiple boxes, before morphing into two ranges that didn't quite diverge enough. So, like the genesis of the F and X series in the road range, Pinarello have taken a new approach to gravel for 2025, delivering distinct products to address the needs of both adventure gravellers and dedicated gravel riders looking to deliver in the fastest races.

The new GREVIL Range has been conceived inline with the new Road ranges, offering 4 (5 globally, 4 in the UK) models that feature varying grades of carbon in their construction and partnered with groupsets, wheels and finishing kit to hit key price points and deliver for their target audiences. Grevil F7, F5, F3 and F1

The Grevil range builds on the success of the previous so-named bikes but with a move closer to the adventure sector with subtle geometry changes and clearnace for 50mm tyres. At the same time of course retaining the signature racy feel of the brand that makes them so popular and relevant - at every price point. Speaking of, one thing that Pinarello have done exceptionally well in recent years, is maintain pricing. Indeed, while others are raising theirs, Pinarello have largely lowered pricing across the board in 2025, making them more competetive as a brand than ever in my 25 years dealing with them.

So what's changed?

The new generation of Grevil F is lighter, faster and designed to be ridden long or multiple days. While the Dogma GR is built for sub 5-hour races, the Grevil F series is built for the long haul. No matter the conditions or the durations of the race or even, the Grevil's versatility provides the perfect solutions to help you compete or complete in speed and comfort. The modular design of the bike’s new accessories allow you to store all tool and nutrition essentials discreetly, yet within easy reach.

There are some notable design and geometry changes in the new range. Firstly, the downtube has a new shape with an improved flatback profile that allows for improved integration with larger, 750ml bottles that are prevalent on longer adventures. As well as adding to the overall stiffness of the frame, the new design also accommodates a new frame bag internally, that is accessed through the new Downtube Port.

At the rear, the Twin Arms stay solution combines with a new Adaptive Seatpost to absorb vibration. TwinArms feature a right chain and seat stay that are rotated downwards, making both rear triangles symmetrical with a uniform response to pedal strokes. Having two different connection points between seatstays and seat tube disperses and off-loads the energy received through the rear axle. The result is the seat tube being able to absorb this energy in a more efficient way. The new Twin Arms concept is mounted lower on the seat tube than before, which not only increases comfort but reduces mud and debris build up when the substrate is sticky - keeping you rolling. The new Adaptive post shape delivers 10mm of longtitudinal flex (2mm more than the Dogma GR) to enhance the rear-end compliance and keep the rider comfortable and planted while traversing the rough.

While the Dogma GR is built for speed over 'short' courses, the geometries of the new Grevil F have been optimised for long distance races and events lasting over 5 hours. To this end, the top tube is 1 cm longer than the previous Grevil and combined with a shorter stem is the perfect combination to improve off-road handling.

Much of what makes the Grevil a great bike, underscored by the inherent Pinarello 'feel', remains. The aerodynamic features that pervade the Pinarello ranges can be found across the Grevil F series: At the front, the Fork Flap stabilises the flow of air on the front end and greatly improves the aerodynamic penetration coefficient.

The Flat-Back tubing profile derived from the DOGMA, reduces aerodynamic drag on the tube, and this is especially effective when there are water bottles present. TiCR persists in its original guise (Total Internal Cable Routing ) and is the complete integration of all cables and hoses through handlebar, stem and frame and which yields an aero saving of 85% of the cable and wire drag. This dramatically enhances frontal aerodynamics. In addition it also allows for simpler mounting of frame and bar bags.

Parity with the F and X series road bikes is evident too. The Grevil F7 features T900 Torayca carbon; the F5 and F3, T700 and F1 the T600. The lower numbers essentially denoting greater levels of compliance for any given stiffness, as well as a small sacrifice in weight.
